Medically
Complex Care for Special Needs
Providing for a wide variety of specialty
medical needs is one of the things
we do best at Carington Health Systems.
Families and healthcare professionals
turn to us when a loved one needs
long-term placement with specialty
care. Many of our facilities have
units devoted to skilled nursing for
specific needs. They include:
Ventilator and post subacute
care
Ventilator-dependent residents are
screened through our Admissions Department
for individual needs. Our respiratory
therapists are always available to
assess and meet any special care needs
a resident
may have. To make the transition from
hospital to nursing facility as comfortable
as possible, our skilled nursing team
will greet
your loved one to provide immediate
reassurance for both patient and family.
Secured memory impaired units
Our staff is trained
through daily care and specialized
activities to encourage use of fine
motor skills and maximize independence.
Quality of life is always a focal
point. Family members can rest assured
knowing all measures are taken to
provide a safe and secure environment.
Comprehensive rehabilitation: Physical, speech and occupational
therapy
We offer an intensive rehabilitation
program that supports an interdisciplinary
approach to care management. Our therapists
work not only to help residents regain
mobility and increase their range
of motion, but also to reteach basic
living skills through physical, speech
and occupational therapies. Our facilities
may offer the ideal situation if your
loved one is recovering from surgery,
a stroke, heart attack or any other
illness that may require supportive
services, whether it be short- or
long-term.
