Personal Attention and Care
Our goal is to allow our residents to
attain their maximum potential. For many, this
means they can return to their former lifestyles.
A philosophy of ensuring that our residents remain
as independent as possible guides their plans
of care.
To support our residents’ individual
medical needs, our services extend beyond
nursing. We recruit a variety of physicians
to include pulmonary, nephrology and
physical medicine specialists. Our psychiatrists
provide psychiatric evaluations and
services. In addition, licensed and
registered therapists offer complete
programs in physical, speech and occupational
therapy.
Planning guides our approach to complete
care. When admitted, a resident is evaluated
according to physician’s orders,
assessing their rehabilitative potential.
A plan of care is implemented, long-
or short-term goals are established,
and our health care professionals begin
actively assisting our residents in
reaching those goals.
Our staff reviews the goals of each
resident and their family in routine
care conferences. Our health care professionals
work to ensure that rehabilitative progress
is made and will continue once a resident
returns home. For those remaining with
us for extended care, goals are routinely
reviewed and re-evaluated for maximizing
potential.
All facilities are supervised by an
attending medical director. Residents
may also be followed by a private physician
or a physician on staff. Professionally
trained, registered and licensed practical
nurses are on duty 24 hours a day.
The services of an independent pharmacy
are provided to all our residents. Each
resident’s medications are reviewed
routinely by a licensed pharmacist.
Medications are provided only by physician’s
prescription and residents are billed
directly by the pharmacy, unless covered
by Medicare or Medicaid.
